Panorama Beach

This rocky beach with eye-popping views of Deep Cove waterfront and Indian Arm is situated in Panorama Park right in the heart of idyllic Deep Cove, with lots of options for extending your visit. 

 

ACCESS AND FACILITIES

The park has designated parking lots, although on sunny weekends, they can fill up quickly and you may need to park in overflow lots or surrounding neighbourhoods and walk over to the beach.  There are washrooms, benches and picnic shelters in the park, and the access paths are stroller friendly.  You can also take transit to Deep Cove.

 

THE BEACH

The moderate size beach is located in a sheltered bay, looking out onto Indian Arm and tranquil Deep Cove waterfront.  It is tons of fun for exploring in all seasons, from swimming and splashing in the summer to finding all kinds of rocks and play in the wet sand in the winter.  If coming here in the summer, do consider bringing water shoes to protect your and your little ones’ feet.

You have lots of options for extending your visit: the beach is surrounded by the beautiful Panorama Park, so you will have plenty of space to explore beyond the beach, including paved trails that traverse the park and go by the boat launch and public pier.  If visiting with a slightly older kid, do stop at the small but intriguing Panorama Park Playground.

 

For a more extended walk, you can head to Myrtle Park or any of the other parks and greenspaces nearby.   Additionally, the beach is right in the core of Deep Cove, so you have several options for refreshments and great food from donuts to sushi.
