⚽🌎 Okay, we know this one isn’t on the North Shore… but when our beloved Science World turns into a giant soccer ball, we had to make an exception! 😄

With the FIFA World Cup excitement building, we hopped on the SeaBus and headed into Vancouver to check out some of the incredible installations and decorations before the crowds arrive. From the giant soccer ball at Science World to the floating soccer balls above Robson Square, it felt like the city was getting ready for something truly special.

These are the kinds of moments we love capturing for our kids—little snapshots of history they can look back on years from now and say, “I remember when the World Cup came to Vancouver!” ⚽✨

It was a fun little adventure, lots of walking, lots of photos, and plenty of excitement imagining what the city will be like when the tournament finally arrives.

We found a super cute one just north of Squamish: Glacier Valley Farm. With lots of animals to see, a tractor and even marshmallows to grill in an open fire pit! Not crowded and the drive was just beautiful 🍁🍂

A new era begins. Tomorrow will be the first day of school for many kiddos around the North Shore. Excitement, nerves, maybe a bit of fear and anxiety, but they will all find their way and start a new chapter in their lives.

For me it is bittersweet. I will miss my daily companion, my office buddy, my co-pilot, my sous-chef, my shopping aid, my hiking partner, our adventures and just the daily routine. There hasn’t been a day since he was born that we haven’t spent it together. And now he starts a new era. We both do.
