Playgrounds in North and West Vancouver

This wonderful secret gem is tucked away in West Vancouver. With four areas to play plus a wooded area, it’s sure to be fun for the entire family!

A short walk through the trees and over a creek from the Parkgate Community Centre, Parkgate Park boasts a playground for kids and one for adults (in the form of a fitness park). With ample parking and little in the way of crowds, this park will entertain both young and old.

This playground is within the property of the school. It is only open to the public outside of school days/hours. If you can pop by for a visit then, you won’t regret it, it is full of fun things to play with and nature to explore.

This playground is nestled within Princess Park, a 15 hectare park in a residential area in the Upper Lonsdale/Lynn Valley area of North Vancouver. The fully-fenced playground is about 100 meters into the park from the parking lot, so you can leave worries about traffic and city noise behind.

This is a fun playground for older kids. Younger ones would need extra supervision, and there are no baby swings.

Located just off Grand Boulevard, this park has everything you need to spend a few hours of fun! With options for all ages, ample space, and lights, this will be a sure favourite during the winter months when daylight hours are short.

Semisch Park Playground in Lower Lonsdale is a fun park tucked away between W1st and W2nd - its brand new structures may be your new favourites in the area!

Located in the middle of a residential neighbourhood just west of Dollarton in Deep Cove, Sherwood Park is practically unknown to anyone except nearby families. But if you’re looking for a small, quiet, toddler-friendly park where you’re likely to be the only ones there, Sherwood Park fits the bill.

This little unassuming play nook in the Shipyards District only has two structures and a metal life-size car to climb into, but it offers views of Vancouver over the water and proximity to shopping, restaurants and other hustle and bustle in Shipyards.

This is an ideal park to take your younger kids to! Located behind St. Andrew’s United Church in North Vancouver, this park is fully gated and features plenty of tables to organize picnics and gatherings, a turf hill to roll down, sand to play with, and two sets of swings: one with 4 baby swings and another with 2 baby and 3 regular swings.

Tucked away near Gleneagles Elementary School in West Vancouver, this tiny park is surrounded by mature, tall trees that cast perpetual shade over the single play structure and two baby swings.

Upper Lynn Elementary School has so much to offer anyone visiting, big or small. With three separate play structures surrounding the school you will need to have ample time to explore everything. A must-visit.
