Playgrounds in North and West Vancouver

Kilmer park playground is tucked away to the side of the large fields and behind the splash park.

Little Cates is somewhat of a hidden gem, often overlooked in favour of its flashy next-door neighbour, Cates Park. But with a better view of the water, far fewer visitors, and its very own “castle”, this Deep Cove park deserves a visit.

This playground is located behind the school. Note that you may not be able to access it during school days/hours. 

Located next to the Fen Burdett Stadium and with direct access to Mahon Park this playground has it all. Kids of all ages, from toddlers to junior high kids, will enjoy a summer day in the spray. 

Maplewood Farm’s playground is the perfect addition to your Maplewood Farm or Thrive Family Centre visit.

Located in the expansive McCartney Creek Park, this playground won’t knock your socks off but is nevertheless a nice stop if you live nearby or are in the area for athletic events on the sports fields or simply enjoying a walk in the woods.

McNair Place Park is as magical as it is hard to find. The perfect park for when you’re feeling extra adventurous.

This is one of the best and most complete playgrounds in the North Shore. It has something for everyone no matter the age.... grownups too!

This playground is next to large grass fields in Mosquito Creek Park, and at the southern end of Mosquito Creek Trail. While small, the thoughtful and simple structures along with a sandpit for digging are usually a hit with the kids. This park caters more to a younger crowd except for a few climbing elements. You’ll often have the entire place to yourself. It may not be a destination playground, but if you are looking for half a day (or a couple of hours) of combined playground fun and nature exploration on a trail hikeable even for the smallest of hikers, this is for you.

This park has lots of room to run around, a picnic table, four regular and two baby swings, and a huge play structure with plenty of things to do!

For a park with something for everyone (including the dog!), you can’t go wrong with Myrtle Park playground and spray park in Deep Cove.

Norgate Community School has a wonderfully fun playground. With multiple structures for all skill sets and unique features, this playground has something for everyone.
