About the Event
Hey kids of North Vancouver! This Saturday, members of the North Vancouver RCMP and City Fire Department need your help to save Halloween!
North Vancouver first responders’ candy supply has been stolen by a diabolical dog dressed up in a spooky spider costume. This pathetic pooch is trying to ruin Hallowe’en! She snuck in to the police detachment and the fire hall and took all of our candy. AND she took ALL the candy we were planning to hand out to trick-or-treaters. It is a disaster! There we were, working hard to keep North Vancouver safe, and right when we weren’t looking, POOF! All our candy was gone!
We’re counting on you, Halowe’en kids of North Vancouver, because we really need your help to get the candy back (and save Hallowe’en!). That darned candy-hunting dog has hidden all the candy in her web. BUT, we’ve hatched a plan to send our best officers and firefighters up into the web to steal the candy back on Saturday. And we’re going to need YOU to come and take it home and keep it safe (or eat it, if you want!)
If you feel like you are up for the challenge, come down to the detachment on Saturday, October 31st between 12pm and 2pm. HELP US GET THE CANDY BACK! Please note that this event will adhere to pandemic procedures as set out by the Provincial Health Authority. We have set up a special candy slide to avoid contact. We ask that everyone who attends please wear a mask, and maintains a physical distance of at least 2 metres from others (we will have masks and hand sanitizer available on site as well).
