About the Event
This group exhibition will examine and take a close look at the structure and dynamics of the North American urban environment. Many cities in North America are dominated by a rectilinear landscape of roads, low-density suburbia, strip-malls, and big-box development. The artists in this exhibition investigate our urban environment and zoom in on the idiosyncrasies, street life, texture, and architectural vernacular that exists within the grid-like structure now synonymous with Western ‘New World’ development.
